Dara is a story of grit, vision, perseverance, hard work and smart work. Our ethos is based on respect for rural skill and a commitment to hone it & meet the sensibilities of the modern woman.

Dara is more than just unique, timeless clothing that is made by ‘haath’ or hand by women in Southern Punjab. It started almost 20 years back with a vision to give rural women an honorable living wage for a skill that was undervalued and under appreciated.

Inspiring stories. hardworking women who want to make something for themselves by themselves. A product that comes after 20 yrs of perfecting the conversion of traditional home taught skill into beautiful, earthy kurtas that represent the best of what Pakistan has to offer.

Dara is not asking you to buy it because of charity, these women don’t need your charity! They would like you to appreciate the specialness of what you might own.
